Low Carb Big Mac Salad Recipe
{Ketogenic, Low Carb, THM:S, Sugar Free}
An easy and quick recipe for Low Carb Big Mac Salad. Tastes just like the beloved burger but without all the carbohydrates!
I was in college before my boyfriend introduced me to the infamous Big Mac, but it was love after first bite.
They became a staple during my broke and busy college days, but were (and still are) fill with lots of additives, unhealthy ingredients, and of course carbohydrates.
After we went keto, I still had a fierce craving for that Big Mac Taste (pro tip: Big Macs without buns are pretty easy to eat on the road) and didn't want the gross feeling I always get after eating McDonalds.
So I decided to take everything that is good about that burger and put it over a salad!
Special Sauce, Hamburger, Tomato, Pickle, Onion, and of course lettuce all tossed together in a bowl make the most delicious salad.
Here's what you'll need to make a Low Carb Big Mac Salad:
For The Keto Special Sauce:
1/2 cup Mayo
2 T Diced Dill Pickles
1 tsp. Yellow Mustard
1 tsp Vinegar
1/2 tsp. Paprika
1.5 T Powdered Lakanto Sweetener
For The Salad:
1 lb Ground Beef
Salt & Pepper, for cooking
2 heads Romaine Lettuce
1/2 cup chopped Tomatoes
1/2 cup Shredded Cheddar
1/4 cu[ diced Pickles
Directions:
Cook the ground beef in a skillet over medium heat seasoned with salt and pepper. Cook until the fat has rendered, and drain off any excess fat when it's done.
While the ground beef cooks, whisk together the Special Sauce Ingredients and set aside.
Assemble the salad: combine the lettuce, tomatoes, cheddar, diced pickles, and ground beef. Toss with the special sauce and enjoy!
