Fit Mom Journey is a food and fitness blog for people who want to improve their health.  While the emphasis is on a Low Carb, Sugar Free way of eating, I do include recipes with carbs from time to time as they fit within a Trim Healthy Mama eating style.  Most recipes are gluten free, and all contain natural, health-promoting ingredients.  Each recipe comes with directions that are easy to follow and I make the recipes easy for people who have little or no experience in the kitchen.  Many recipes are quick and easy, because so many families are just too busy to make more complicated dishes (myself included!).

I started Fit Mom Journey in 2016 to help me eat healthier, regardless of whether I lost weight.  Like so many others, I wanted to be able to keep up with my daughter and teach her to make healthy choices throughout her life.  I have lost 30 pounds and more than 25 inches all over my body and am still losing thanks to this healthy way of eating!  For me, it's about living a life filled with foods  you actually want to eat, and moments you never want to forget.

Modern science has promoted a low-fat diet as a healthy eating plan for years.

But now, research is emerging which links eating good amounts of healthy fats with a reduction in diseases such as heart disease, Alzheimer's, epilepsy, obesity, and even diabetes.  As Low Carb and Keto eating becomes more mainstream, many people are seeing the benefits in their own lives, which means that traffic to Fit Mom Journey has continued to climb!
