Start A Profitable Blog for Only $3.95/month

Start A Profitable Blog for Only $3.95/month

Congratulations on deciding on your domain name! It is not time to get your blog set up!

I owe so much of mine and my family’s lives to blogging. The income is produces has been a blessing {$13,000/month +}, allows us to travel almost every other week year-round, and has even helped our family get out of debt! It is truly a dream come true for our family, especially as I switched to homeschooling our daughter last year, and was still able to continue blogging and keep my income rising higher and higher!!

Now let’s talk about the cost:

Starting a self-hosted blog does cost a little bit of money.  For the Bluehost Basic plan, which I recommend, the cost for your first year will be $59.40. That’s for an entire year.  This is a tiny price to pay to start a Profitable Blog, and if you’re ready to put in the work, this small investment will pay itself thousands time back in returns.  Bluehost has the best deal on the market right now, and they have excellent service for beginning bloggers, which is why I recommend it.

I even have a bonus for you!

If you use my link to set up hosting for your blog, I’ll give you my newest blog strategy guide: Pinterest Cheat Sheet for Bloggers.

I spent years running a Pinterest Marketing agency, and have grown websites from having zero Pinterest traffic to seeing page views in the millions each month.  You’re just beginning, but in about a month you will really want to leverage Pinterest to get people to your blog – and I’ll show you exactly how to do that.

Be sure to click through one of the links to Bluehost on this page to get started.  This will make sure you are getting the best price, a free domain (.com) for the first year, a free SSL certificate, and also the most current version of WordPress for running your blog – automatically installed for you!

And don’t forget you’ll get Pinterest Strategy for Bloggers absolutely free!

Let’s get started….don’t worry it’s pretty easy!

Step 1: Click my link HERE to take advantage of special pricing with Bluehost.

Bluehost is the largest hosting company in world, trusted by millions, and I chose them especially because of how good they are with those who are just beginning blogging.  The current deal is as low as $3.95/mo, depending on which plan you choose.

Step 1: Click my link HERE to take advantage of special pricing with Bluehost.

With that pricing you also get:

  • A Free Domain Name (1st year)
  • Free SSL Certificate
  • Current WordPress automatically installed for you

Bluehost has 3 packages to choose from: Basic, Plus, and Choice Plus.

If you’re just beginning and on a budget, the Basic will work just fine.

If you can stretch the budget just a bit, the Choice Plus is the best value for the money, and is well worth the investment.  While this is a good value, do not feel pressured to spring for the Choice Plus. A beginning blog will do just fine with the Basic plan.

Click SELECT on the plan you choose to move on to the next step.

Step 1: Click my link HERE to take advantage of special pricing with Bluehost.

The next page will give you 2 options:

New Domain: if you do not have a domain for your blog yet, choose this option.  Enter the domain name that you want in the box, and click NEXT.

OR

I Already Have a Domain: if you already own a domain (that begins with www.) enter this here and click NEXT.

If you haven’t decided on a domain name yet, you can use Bluehost to search for available domains and make your decision.

From there, fill in your personal information:

Then, choose available options:

{really should check Domain Privacy Protection and point out that the price at the bottom is for 3 years of hosting1}

The next step is decide on your options.

Basic Plan Options:

  • $71.40 for 1 Year (12 months) – includes a free domain name $5.95/mo
  • $118.80 for 2 Years (24 months) – includes a free domain name $4.95/mo
  • $142.20 for 3 years (36 months) – includes a free domain name $3.95/mo

It’s pretty obvious, but the longer plan you choose, the cheaper your hosting gets per month.  The minimum term is 12 months, and all fees are billed up front for the term you choose. After you pay, there are absolutely no ongoing or monthly fees.

The add-on options for the Basic Plan are:

Let’s Encrypt SSL – FREE:

SiteLock Security – Find – $1.99/mo (Billed Annually)

Codeguard Basic – $2.99/mo (Billed to End of Hosting Term)

Bluehost SEO Tools Host – $1.99/mo (Billed Annually)

I’ll mention this one more time, but if you have the budget, the Choice Plus plan is the best value.  With Choice Plus, you get everything the Basic plan offers, plus FREE Domain Privacy Protection, upgraded storage, Spam Experts, and Site Backup Pro.

Click HERE to go to Bluehost.

The last section is payment information, where you will finalize your choices and purchase the hosting and domain for your profitable blog. Just enter your information and hit submit!

Congratulations!!

You are officially a blog owner.  Now, we will work toward making your blog a profitable one!

Actions Step: Follow Bluehost Prompts

You will be prompted by Bluehost to create a password for your account.  After you create one, Bluehost will automatically start installing WordPress in the background.

It will also ask you to pick a theme.  You can do this now or wait until later.

Make a note of your password and save the emails Bluehost will send you regarding your account and WordPress information.  Check your spam folder if you can’t find them.

I also like to bookmark the Admin/Wordpress login for my domain so I can easily access it in the future.

You’ve done amazing work setting up your profitable blog today!  These are the very first steps, but they can be scary ones, and you deserve a big congratulations for taking them!

Stay tuned tomorrow, when we will talk about how to set up your blog, make it look the way you want it to, and getting ready to launch!

One last thing:

Fill out this form to receive the Pinterest Strategy Cheatsheet for Bloggers.  As soon as I verify that you signed up through my Bluehost link, I’ll send you an email with the Pinterest Cheatsheet for Bloggers for FREE!

xoxo,
Gretchen
