Keto Maple Glazed Ham
{Low Carb, Ketogenic, THM:S, Sugar Free}
Perfect for any holiday, Keto Maple Glazed ham is a sugar-free THM:S take on a classic Christmas or Easter Ham with all the taste and non of the carbohydrates.
I am, admittedly, not a huge fan of ham. The salty, dry hams that I grew up with just didn't bring me any joy. So as an adult, I had never made.
That is, until 2 years ago when we raised our own hogs for meat.
After butchering, I had hams in my freezer that I did not know what to do with – and didn't particularly even want to eat.
BUT, never one to waste food, I pulled a ham out of the freezer for Easter Dinner, and discovered a game-changing secret: Smoked Hams taste WAY better than other type I've tried.
I paired my homegrown, smoked ham with a sugar-free maple glaze, and a long, slow cooking promise, and SURPRISE – I actually liked ham!

Here's what you'll need….
8-lb Ham, smoked
8 Cloves, whole
⅓ cup Sugar Free Maple Syrup
3 T Dijon Mustard
Directions:
Preheat oven to 325. Score the outside of the ham lightly in a diamond pattern. Insert cloves into the scores. Then place the ham on a rack inside a shallow roasting pan.
Mix the Maple Syrup and Dijon Mustard in a small bowl, then brush the entire outside of the ham without the syrup & mustard mixture.
Bake the ham for 1.5 – 2 hours, or until a meat thermometer reads 140 at the ham’s center. During cooking, baste the ham every 20-30 minutes with the liquid from the bottom of the pan.
