Ketologie Review

0 Flares Filament.io 0 Flares ×

This Ketologie review is LONG overdue. After going through 8 canisters in last year, backing Ketologie in their kickstart, and reviewing their bone broth, it's finally time to give you a full review of Ketologie's Chocolate shake!

Ketologie Review

Well, this review has been a LONG time coming.

I mean, I’m like a YEAR overdue writing this review, on a product that has a permanent place in my pantry.

Quite frankly, I hate writing reviews.  Even though I only review products with my honest opinion, and that I personally use regularly, I struggle with writing them authentically, in a way that doesn’t feel spammy, while laying it all out there for you, dear reader.

So today I’m buckling down and writing a killer review of Ketologie.

Why?

Because even though I hate writing review, this one is NECESSARY because I use Ketologie so much.

First up, what is Ketologie?

Ketologie is as company that makes awesome keto products like Sweeteners, Bone Broth, Collagen, and Ketogenic Protein & Fat Shakes.

At the time of writing, they’ve only been in business about a year, launching on Kickstarter July 2017 (If I’m remembering correctly)

While they have struggled with a few supply chain issues (due to growing so fast because their product is THAT good), they’ve been working them out, and have managed to keep producing stellar products throughout all of the growing pains.

I already wrote a review of Ketologie’s Powdered Bone Broth, but today when I refer to Ketologie in this article I am referring to their Chocolate Keto Shake.

Ketologie also makes a Vanilla Keto Shake, which is delicious, but since I mostly use the chocolate (Hello, raging sweet tooth!) I’m going to stick with the chocolate one here.

What is the Chocolate Keto Shake?

Well,  it looks like this in the full canister:

This Ketologie review is LONG overdue. After going through 8 canisters in last year, backing Ketologie in their kickstart, and reviewing their bone broth, it's finally time to give you a full review of Ketologie's Chocolate shake!

Or, like this in their newly-released individual packets (these were live on Kickstarter, and are coming soon to the online store!)

From Ketologie:

“If you're looking for a dark and indulgent treat without the carbs, then we've got you covered. Our Chocolate Keto Shake is made with high fat real dutched cocoa, coconut oil, grass fed bovine collagen protein, a pinch of sea salt and other delicious natural ingredients.

Use it as a shake or follow our recipe instructions to make hot chocolate, chia pudding/breakfast, mochas and more!!

We’re not saying you have to eat 75% of your calories from fat, all the time. But, if you do want to…we’ve got your back. Finally, you can just get on with moving toward your goals, without worrying about how you’re going to get into – and stay in – ketosis.”

My take:

A perfectly balanced, delicious keto shake powder that mixes up easily with no chunks or graininess.

In my opinion, it tastes like chocolate milk.

Even my 4-year old will drink it, and that’s saying something.

From a nutrition perspective, I also love the stuff, which is why I ALWAYS have it on hand.

One (2-scoop) serving contains:

  • 300 Calories
  • 25g of Fat
  • <1g Net Carbohydrates (7g Fiber, 7g Erythritol)
  • 14g Protein

The macros are spot on, but it’s also important to look at the actual ingredients to check for quality:

  • Coconut Oil Powder
  • Hydrolyzed Bovine Collagen
  • Organic Erythritol
  • Dutched Cocoa
  • Natural Vanilla Flavor
  • Sea Salt
  • Xanthan Gum
  • Stevia

All-in-all, a great fit for the quality of foods that I choose to include in my Ketogenic Diet.

My only concern with the ingredients is that some people are sensitive to Erythritol, myself included, sort of.

Erythritol is a sugar alcohol, which has shown no impact on blood sugar in diabetic individuals.

However, many people doing keto notice that too much erythritol can throw them out of ketosis.  For myself, if I take in much more than 10g per day, I get kicked out of ketosis. Since this shake has 7g of Erythritol, it totally fits.

Everyone’s tolerance levels are different.  For example, my husband can eat north of 40g of erythritol per day and stay in ketosis (and I sort of hate him for that….kidding)

This is definitely NOT a deal-break, but something to be aware of.

How to make Ketologie:

Mixing up Ketologie is easier than a protein shake:

  1. Add 10-12 ounces of water or your favorite nut milk to a blender bottle.  Personally, I use closer to 16oz, but that’s you’re call.
  2. Add 2 scoops of Ketologie, shake to mix, and enjoy!  You can also throw in a couple of ice cubes if you enjoy cold drinks.

What are other people saying about Ketologie?

Don’t take my word for it!  Ketologie currently holds a 4.5 star rating with 118 reviews!

Their reviews really say it all:

Holy Avocado

I found a new way to use the Ketologie Chocolate Protein Powder… I mix 1 scoop with a mashed avocado and a little bit of sweetener and it's dessert heaven. I shouldn't say dessert, because I make a meal out of it by adding a few salted almonds. You feel like you're doing something wrong by enjoying this so much, but it's totally keto and excellent on macros. Don't roll your eyes until you try it 🙂 I'm telling you, it's like eating rich, chocolate goodness! – Patricia C.

Best Chocolate Keto Shake on the market!

If you’re a Keto Veteran, new to Keto, you MUST try Ketologie Chocolate Shake. Hands down, best shake on the market. So tasty with Vanilla Almond Milk. This shake keeps me full for hours. I am a Chocolate lover….this nails the sweet Keto cravings. Enjoy! – Anonymous

Choc Keto Protein Shake – sooooooooooo good

I love the Chocolate Keto Protein Shake in my morning coffee and at night blended in the blender with ice and a little water……….it's like a milk shake. – Mona S.

The bottom line: if you’re on the go, tired of counting macros, or just want a delicious shake for when a craving hits, Ketologie would be a great addition to your pantry.
