Sugar Free Caramel Sauce

We all love a good caramel sauce with ice cream, over brownies, or on a poke cake, and I've got a 15-minute Keto Caramel Sauce Recipe for you that is perfect for all of those things!

Usually, making sugar-based desserts with sugar free ingredients is tricky, but this sauce is actually really easy.

Caramel, traditionally, is just a controlled burning of sugar.  And since sugar-free caramel sauce doesn't use actual sugar, I was surprised at how easy it was to make.

How To Make Keto Caramel Sauce

Basically, you'll need to use a sweetener that is similar is structure to sugar, such as Allulose or Xylitol, and then you can cut the sweetener amounts half with a monkfruit & erythritol sweetener, if you would like.

If you've made any Keto Caramels before, you'll know that you cannot use all erythritol for the sweetener, because it likes to crystallize as it cools.  Doesn't make for a very nice, caramel sauce.

So, you can use half allulose/xylitol, and half erythritol if you wish, or entirely allulose/xylitol.

So with all that being said, here are the sweeteners I used for the Sugar Free Caramel Sauce:

Allulose Sweetener

Lakanto Golden Monkfruit Sweetener {Erythritol & Monkfruit}

You do need a couple more things to make this Sugar Free Caramel Sauce taste truly awesome: good quality Sea Salt, excellent vanilla extract, grass-fed butter, and grass-fed whipping cream.

You'll start by melting and browning the butter, which gives the sauce a wonderful, rich taste, then you'll add the sweetener, whipping cream, sea salt, and vanilla, and simmer for 15 minutes until the sauce thickens.

I used Celtic Sea Salt….

And Organic Vanilla

Ingredients for Keto Caramel Sauce

1/4 cup Butter
1/2 cup Allulose/Xylitol {can use half Erythritol}
1/2 cup Whipping Cream
1/4 tsp. Celtic Sea Salt
1/2 tsp. Vanilla Extract
