Keto Chocolate Cake
{Low Carb, Ketogenic, THM:S, Sugar Free, Grain Free}
The best Keto Chocolate Cake tastes like it came from a bakery. With that pudding taste we've come to love in boxed cakes clocks in at 1.3 net carbs per slice – you won't miss boxed cake ever again.
*UPDATE: I realized after this published last night that ya'll REALLY want the recipe for the chocolate buttercream here, and that something was wrong with the macros. I've gone ahead and added in the buttercream recipe (it was going to be a separate post) and fixed the macros – enjoy!
After I published my Keto Yellow Cake recipe, I got so many requests for a chocolate version.
So sorry it took me so long, but it's finally here!
The beauty of this chocolate cake is several things:
First, it's super simple to make, using no special ingredients.
Second, it's very low carb, at just 1.3 net carbs per slice.
And third, Keto Chocolate Cake is very versatile. In the coming weeks you'll be seeing it used in many different recipes, from Keto German Chocolate Cake, to Better-Than-Sex Cake and more!
Making Keto Chocolate Cake
If you haven't made the Yellow Cake yet, then let me just give you a heads up: this cake is made with a base of whipped cream.
Yep, just heavy cream, whipped with a bit of cream of tartar and sweetener.
You then fold in the eggs, flours, cocoa powder, and boom! A light, fluffy cake!

Ingredients
- 1 cup Heavy Cream
- 2 Eggs
- 4 Whole Egg Yolks
- 1 tsp Vanilla Extract
- 1/4 cup Lakanto Confectioner’s Sweetener
- ¼ tsp Stevia Glycerite
- 1 cup Almond Flour
- 2 T Coconut Flour
- 1 tsp. Baking Powder
- 1/4 cup Cocoa Powder

Instructions
Preheat oven to 350. Grease 2, 8 or 9-inch cake pans (using Round parchment in the bottom, if desired)
In a clean, cooled bowl, whip the Heavy Cream until it forms stiff peaks.
Add in the eggs, egg yolks, Sweetener, Stevia Glycerite, Almond Flour, Coconut Flour, Baking Powder, and Salt.
Run the mixer slower 4 times around the bowl, then scrape the sides.
Run the mixer again slowly until all the ingredients are fully incorporated. Do not over mix.
Pour the batter into the 2 prepared pans, and tap down gently to release any air bubbles. Bake for 20-25 minutes, until set in the center.
