Ultimate Keto Dinner Rolls
My Ultimate Keto Dinner Rolls are super simple to make and can be used for everything from sandwiches, sliders, and burgers, to family favorites like bread pudding!
I've been searching high and low for the absolute best Keto Dinner Roll recipe out there – with no luck.
So I decided to create my own, a mishmash of many of the different types of Keto Rolls.
This is a recipe that you all asked for several times on my Facebook posts, so I decided it was high time that I got around to publishing the recipe for these Keto Dinner Rolls. They're too good not to share!
These buns use Ground Psyllium Husk, Boiling Water, and Egg Whites as the primary ingredients, which I understand does not sound very appetizing, but roll with me here for a minute.
First, you will mix the dry ingredients.
Then, mix in the eggs, egg whites, and boiling water slow enough that the eggs don't cook.
This sounds like a big deal, but it's actually very simple. Just go slow – doesn't even have to be that slow – and process well before cooking.
The result is a light and fluffy Keto Dinner Roll that has a nice crust on the outside but is soft on the inside. They're not eggy like many breads, either.
Here's what you'll need:
1.25 cups Almond Flour
5 T Ground Psyllium Husk
2 tsp Baking Powder
1 tsp Sea Salt
2 tsp Apple Cider Vinegar
1.25 cups Boiling Water
3 Egg Whites
Directions
Preheat oven to 350. Mix the almond flour, psyllium husk, baking powder, and sea salt in a bowl.
Bring the water to a boil, then add it, the apple cider vinegar, and the egg whites to the bowl while beating with a mixer, about 30 seconds.
Add in the dry ingredients and beat another 30 seconds. Do NOT over mix. The dough will be very thick, like Play-Dough.
Wet your hands, then form the dough into 8 balls. Place on a greased baking sheet and bake for 50-60 minutes, until a tap on the bottom of the roll sounds hollow.
