Keto Gyros
{THM:S, Ketogenic, Low Carb, Grain Free}
You can make amazing Keto Chicken Gyros at home with clean tzatziki sauce and none of the carbs! My recipe comes together in 20 minutes and the whole family will enjoy it.
Given the choice, I would gyros every single week. There's something about the combination of the heavily seasoned lamb, the sharp feta, the cool tomatoes, onion, and cucumbers, and the creamy tzatziki sauce that is just HEAVEN to me.
And luckily, my entire family agrees.
Even the husband and 5-year-old will willing wolf down huge amounts of gyros.
Unfortunately, the highly-processed lamb you find the grocery store, all ready for gyros is NOT a good option. Filled with ingredients like wheat, soy, maltodextrin and others – not to mention clocking in at around 8 carbs per {small} servings, we needed a better gyro recipe.
I don't live in a small town, but even so lamb is hard to come by, so I've started making Chicken Gyros in our household.
They are especially delicious and easy since Primal Palate came out with the Super Gyro seasoning that is clean, delicious, and perfect for gyros.
How To Make Keto Chicken Gyros
First, marinate the chicken. Remove it from the marinade, season and bake it at 350 for 20 minutes.
While the chicken cooks, dice the cucumbers, tomatoes, and onions. Additionally, prepare the sauce.
Finally, assemble the gyros by filling Joseph's Lavash Pitas chicken, then feta, vegetables, and finally top with the tzatziki.
Ingredients for Keto Chicken Gyros
For The Chicken & Marinade
2-3 pounds Chicken breast
Extra Virgin Olive Oil
Lemon Juice
Sea Salt
Black Pepper
Oregano
Primal Palate Super Gyro Seasoning
For the Tzatziki
Greek Yogurt
Extra Virgin Olive Oil
Lemon Juice
Salt
Dill
Minced Garlic
Cucumber, cubed
Tomatoes
Onion, sliced
Cucumbers, cubed
Feta Cheese
Joseph's Pitas

Ingredients
- For The Chicken & Marinade
- 2-3 pounds Chicken breast
- 1/4 cup Extra Virgin Olive Oil
- 2 Tbsp. Lemon Juice
- 2 tsp. Sea Salt
- 1 tsp. Black Pepper
- 2 tsp. Oregano
- Primal Palate Super Gyro Seasoning
- For the Tzatziki
- 1.5 cups Greek Yogurt
- 2 Tbsp. Extra Virgin Olive Oil
- 2 Tbsp. Lemon Oil
- 2 tsp. Salt
- 1 Tbsp. Dill
- 2 Tbsp. Minced Garlic
- 1 cup Cucumber, cubed
- Other Items:
- 2 Diced Tomatoes
- 1 Onion, sliced
- 2 Cucumbers, cubed
- 1-2 cups Feta Cheese
- Joseph's Pitas
Instructions
- Marinate the chicken by adding it, the lemon juice, olive oil, salt, pepper and oregano to a bag. Marinate at least 2 hours, up to 24 hours if you have time.
- Make the tzatziki sauce by mixing together all of the sauce ingredients
- To cook the chicken, remove it from the marinade, season heavily with Primal Palate Greek Seasoning, and cook it either in an air fryer, in a skillet, or in the oven until heated to 165 degrees throughout.
- Assemble the gyros and enjoy!
