Keto Beef Tips with Mushrooms, Onions, and Gravy {THM:S, Low Carb, Ketogenic} Raise your hand if you have a beef-loving husband! I’m right there with you 🙂 And, if I’m being honest, I’m a beef eater too! But besides beef being the main ingredient in these Keto Beef tips, there are two main reasons I love making this recipe: it requires only 4 ingredients + my slow cooker, and because it’s a great way to use up my ButcherBox grass-fed beef tips! Also important: the beef tips can stay in the slow cooker up to 12 hours on low, without… Read More
Keto Lemon Bars
Keto Lemon Bars Lemon bars are a classic for a reason. They just looks so cheery and fancy, while taking very little work at all to make! Growing up, I would make money bars for my mom because she loved lemon, and then my whole family would devour them – sometimes before she even got a chance to eat them! As with most recipes, it takes a few tries to “ketofy” a traditional recipe into something that’s both super low carb, filled with healthful ingredients, and that actually tastes good. This one did take me a couple of tries,… Read More

The Super Bowl will be here before we know it! If you’re like me, you aren’t really a football fan, but going to a Super Bowl party is fun because of the food, and fellowship, and the friends. Or maybe you really get into sports, and that’s cool too – as long as you enjoy the snacks too! These jalapeno poppers are on of those appetizers, that when you make them, you can always count on them being snapped right up. And of… Read More
Ketosis Myths
Ketosis Myths The Ketogenic Diet has gone mainstream over the last couple of years or so. What was once a cult favorite among athletes, bodybuilders, and holistic health enthusiasts has become a household diet. If you haven’t tried Keto yet, you probably know someone who has – and who has probably had amazing success with it. Over the course of learning about Ketosis, formulating my own Ketogenic Diet, and writing articles to help others – like you lovely peeps – I’ve learned about many objections to Keto. Some of them were my own, when I was first learning about Keto,… Read More
Keto Chocolate Milk
Keto Chocolate Milk When I was pregnant, I just couldn’t get enough chocolate milk. Sure, I liked it before, but something about pregnancy that made me crave it so much I would go through a couple gallons a week. No kidding. Now that I’m Keto, Chocolate Milk is something I really wanted to replace. And not just replace, with a kind-of-ok replacement, but a chocolate milk that is completely delicious by even the most anti-keto, and make it contain a ton of protein. I’ve come a long way on this Keto journey, discovering some really awesome products that I never… Read More

December 2017 Blog Traffic & Income Report
December 2017 Blog Traffic & Income Report Hey there! Gretchen here, reporting on Fit Mom Journey’s traffic and income during December 2017. I wanted to start with a little story…. I’ve been thinking about restarting my StitchFix subscription to update my wardrobe a bit. In the process of getting my account reactivated, Google must have realized that I was looking for a closing subscription service. Over the next couple of days, I started seeing advertisements for a couple of new subscription services: ThirdLove and Dia&Co. ThirdLove is a bra subscription service that claims they’re pieces not only fit better and… Read More
Keto Beef Stew
Keto Beef Stew Soups and stews are on of my favorite things about the Ketogenic Diet. My husband is a huge fan of them, and thanks to my InstantPot and Slow Cooker, I find they’re very easy to throw together. Basically all winter long, we eat soups or stews for 4-5 lunches/dinners per week. Matt was a really big fan of this Keto Beef Stew. He’s a meat and potatoes kind of guy, so he was a huge fan of the big chunks of grass-fed beef, tender carrots, and and the perfectly-cooked baby radishes to replace potatoes. The filling flavor… Read More
