Keto Spice Cake
{Low Carb, Ketogenic, THM:S, Sugar Free, Grain Free}
Keto Spice cake with a wonderful cream cheese frosting! One of my absolute favorite fall/winter cakes made keto, and stacked into a show-stopping layer cake.
Keto Spice Cake
Winter, to me, calls for lots of flavor, comforting smells, and heartier meals {and desserts} than during any other season.
It's this time of year when I break out all of my baking spices and get to work.
And honestly, only 30% of the benefit is eating the finished dessert.
My favorite part is the scents of the season that fill my house!
The Keto Spice Cake Base
I only have on yellow cake recipe on this site, my Best Keto Yellow Cake, because it's awesome.
Truly, if you know how to make whipped cream, and can take your time so as not to break it, you can make this cake.
And so, most of my cakes are based off of that recipe, and this Keto Spice Cake is no exception.
I did make a few changes, including adding appropriate spices, mixing up the sweetener to keep it spice-cake-appropriate, and of course adding a traditional cream cheese frosting {made sugar free!}.
But the base is the same, and it makes for a moist, delicious cake that so many of my readers have raved about.

Ingredients
- 1.5 cup Heavy Cream
- 3 Whole Eggs
- 6 Egg Yolks
- 1.5 tsp Vanilla Extract
- 1/3 cup Lakanto Confectioner’s Sweetener
- 1/2 tsp Stevia Glycerite
- 1.5 cup Almond Flour
- 3 T Coconut Flour
- 1.5 tsp. Baking Powder
- 2.5 tsp. Ground Cinnamon
- 1 tsp. Ground Ginger
- 1 tsp. Ground Nutmeg
- 1/2 tsp. Allspice
- 1/4 tsp. Cloves
- 2 tsp. Molasses
- For The Cream Cheese Frosting:
- 4 oz Cream Cheese, softened
- 1/4 cup Butter, softened
- 1/3 cup Powdered Monkfruit
- 1/2 dropper Sweetleaf Stevia
- 1/2 tsp. Vanilla Extract
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350. Grease 3, 8 or 9-inch cake pans (using Round parchment in the bottom, if desired)
In a clean, cooled bowl, whip the Heavy Cream until it forms stiff peaks.
Add in the eggs, egg yolks, Sweetener, Stevia Glycerite, Almond Flour, Coconut Flour, Baking Powder, salt, spices, and molasses.
Run the mixer slower 4 times around the bowl, then scrape the sides.
Run the mixer again slowly until all the ingredients are fully incorporated. Do not over mix.
Pour the batter into the 2 prepared pans, and tap down gently to release any air bubbles. Bake for 20-25 minutes, until set in the center.
Make the frosting by creaming together the cream cheese, butter, powdered sweetener, vanilla, and sweetleaf stevia. Frost the cooled cakes as desired.
