Fast-food copycat Blackened Chicken Tenders are my take on a cult favorite. Paired with a creamy ranch, coleslaw, and vegetables they make a great dinner ready in 20 minutes.
Blackened Chicken Tenders
When I first started keto more than 4 years ago I often looked around for fast food that was keto-friendly.
Well, fast food that was keto friendly per it's macros, that is.
There's certainly nothing wrong with eating out, but these days we try to eat at home more. We do this so that we can control exactly what goes into our food, and to control food costs as well. I personally also love that by eating at home I get to “put my money where my mouth is” and support regenerative, humane farms with my meat and poultry purchases.
So naturally, after falling in love with Popeye's Blackened Chicken Tenders, I had to create my own version to make at home.
And while I love that this recipe is on the table in 20 minutes, I also really love the versatility of this recipe.
What To Serve with Blackened Chicken Tenders
Of course, you can have you pick of sauces with Blackened Chicken Tenders:
Or, you can serve it over a salad with your choice of dressing.
Even simpler, you can serve Blackened Chicken Tenders with everyone choosing their favorite sauce, then add family-favorite southern sides:
- Keto “Potato” Salad
- Keto Coleslaw
- Broccoli Salad
- Fresh, steamed vegetables
We love these no matter how they're served, and with what, so just do what's right!
