Keto Dairy Free Jalapeno Poppers
Wrapped in Bacon
{Low Carb, Ketogenic, THM:S, Dairy Free, Grain Free}
Dairy Free Jalapeno Poppers that are BETTER than the ones with dairy? They're my weakness, and so I created, a Ketogenic, Dairy Free Jalapeno Poppers Recipe that is wrapped in bacon and – according to my husband and his co-workers – BETTER than poppers with dairy.
Football season, teenagers in the house, New Year's Eve, or just a Friday night at home.
What do all of these days have in common?
They're prime time for appetizers!
I've always loved my simple recipe for Keto Jalapeno Poppers {It's a classic for a reason} but since starting Crossfit and working with a nutrition coach, I have been actively trying to reduce how much dairy I eat.
Even though I really, really love cheese, the reality is that dairy should be consumed in moderation for most people because:
- It can stall weight loss
- It can disrupt the gut flora
- It can contribute to skin conditions like eczema or acne
- It can make seasonal allergies worse
- And, it is usually a no-go for those with autoimmune diseases
It was SO HARD for me to limit dairy in the beginning, and this recipe for Dairy Free Jalapeno Poppers that I whipped up one day when I was desperate is one I'm so excited to share with you, in hopes that it will help you eliminate or greatly reduce your dairy intake too!
And, my husband and his co-workers also gave me the thumbs up for them being BETTER than the ones with dairy.
Go figure.
Here's what you'll need….
Jalapenos, halved and seeded
Kite Hill Almond Cream Cheese
Nutritional Yeast
Celtic Sea Salt
Pepper
Garlic Powder
Bacon {preferably heritage-bred}
Stevia Sweetened BBQ Sauce {I used this one}
Almond Milk, optional
