A keto take on traditional fried fish dinner, Keto Air Fryer Breaded Cod is made with quality cod fillets, coated in a crispy low carb breading, and fried in an air fryer. A modern take on a classic.

These Keto Air Fryer Breaded Cod Filets started as a keto take on a classic, something that would go perfectly with Keto Coleslaw, and they ended up as my new favorite meal.
As in, I ate them for 5 meals straight.
S.T.R.A.I.G.H.T.
I mean, I fast in the mornings, and my first meal is lunch, so it's not quite so weird, but still. So. Much. Cod, and I didn't even care because it was so good.
It also helps that these are just so easy to make. Bread. Fry. Eat.
It doesn't get much simpler than that.
And add tartar sauce, asparagus, and coleslaw for a truly mind blowing meal.
I used my old-school air fryer, which worked well, but does cook a bit unevenly. I have plans to try this amazing Cuisinart air fryer that cooks much more evenly and is, honestly, easier to use.
This recipe is so much healthier than the breaded fish you'll find in grocery stores, and cooking it with the hot air from and air fryer, coated in crushed pork rinds makes for a crispy, delicate cod loin the whole family will love!

10 good quality Cod Fillets, boneless and skinless
Pork Dust {either make your own or use pre-made}
Coconut Flour
Eggs
Almond Milk

A keto take on traditional fried fish dinner, Keto Air Fryer Breaded Cod is made with quality cod fillets, coated in a crispy low carb breading, and fried in an air fryer. A modern take on a classic.
Ingredients
- 10 good quality Cod Fillets, boneless and skinless
- 1 cup Pork Dust {either make your own or use pre-made}
- 1 cup Coconut Flour
- 2 Eggs
- 1/4 cup Almond Milk
- Salt & Black Pepper, to taste
- 2 tsp. Garlic Powder
- 1/4 cup Parmesan Cheese
- Coconut Oil Cooking Spray
Instructions
- Start by mixing the pork dust, salt and pepper, parmesan and garlic powder together in a shallow dish for breading.
- In a separate shallow bowl, whisk together the eggs and almond milk.
- And in a 3rd shallow bowl, place the coconut flour.
- Dry each piece of fresh fish with a paper towel before starting the coating process:
- First, coat each piece of cod in coconut flour, followed by a dredge in the egg mixture, then finally coat it in the pork dust.
- Place each of the fish fillets in your air fryer basket in a single layer, then spray the top of each piece with olive oil cooking spray and air fry at 400 degrees F for 12-15 minutes, flipping and spray with more olive oil cooking spray halfway through, until golden brown.
- The internal temperature should reach 145 degrees F with a meat thermometer to be done.
- Serve with a squeeze of lemon juice from fresh lemon quarts and keto tartar sauce.

Prep time is about 10 minutes, cooking time is 12-15 minutes. The internal temperature of the fish needs to reach 145 in the thickest part to be done.
Is Air Frying Healthier Than Deep Frying?
Depends on what your goals are! Air frying uses less fat, makes less of a mess, and has less fat included in the end product. Also, many conventionally deep fried foods used inflammatory and highly processed oils. If you deep fried these yourself, you could choose a healthy oil to fry them in.
How Do I Store The Keto Air Fryer Fish Sticks?
Let cool completely, then store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 4 days.
How To I Reheat Keto Air Fryer Cod?
The best ways to reheat the white fish in the air fryer for 3-4 minutes on each side at 350, spraying with oil again to crisp up the coating.
