Keto Alfredo Sauce

Recently, I had a very busy week, and knew that I would need to buy more prepared foods than normal because I just wouldn't have time to cook.

In my rush, I grabbed a jar of pre-made alfredo sauce off the shelves to go with out chicken and broccoli, not even bothering to check the label for macros or ingredients.

Like I said, I was in a hurry.

Fast forward to the night we were actually eating the alfredo sauce, chicken, and broccoli for dinner: 

It tasted TERRIBLE.

It just tasted so fake, and had very little flavor.  I was not a fan, to say the least, but the taste did prompt me to actually look at the jar it came out of

First things first, I realize not everyone has time to make their own alfredo sauce.  You're busy, and it's just one. more. thing. you have to do.  So no judgement if you're gong to continue buying jarred sauce.

And also, it is HARD constantly being suspicious of your food.  Reading every label, researching every purchase is, quite frankly, exhausting.

BUT, I am still going to try and convince you to come over to homemade alfredo sauce.  It is so much cleaner, better tasting, has better macros, AND is super easy to make.

I've actually been making homemade alfredo sauce since I was in high school, but since going low carb I've moved to more keto-friendly ingredients and a faster cooking process.

I hope you're willing to try making your own Keto Alfredo Sauce – once you do, you'll never go back to store-bought!

What To Serve Keto Alfredo Sauce With

The Keto Alfredo Sauce is shown here over Great Low Carb Fettuccine  Noodles.

Butter
Garlic
Salt
Pepper
Cream Cheese
Heavy Cream
Parmesan

How To Make Keto Alfredo Sauce

First, melt the butter over medium heat with the garlic. 

Add in the cream cheese, stirring until melted, then add in the remaining ingredients, stirring until smooth.

Simmer for 5-10 minutes stirring constantly until sauce has thickened.

Pretty simple to make, right?

Ingredients

  • 2 T Butter
  • 1/2 T Garlic Powder (or 1 T Crushed Garlic)
  • 1/4 tsp. Salt
  • 1/8 tsp. Pepper
  • 3 oz Cream Cheese
  • 1 cup Heavy Cream
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan

Instructions
